Advent–A beginning

Our Lady Undoer of Knots

Recently I was introduced by a friend to Our Lady Undoer of Knots, since then our Lady has been finding me .

The season of Advent has begun. I know that I am running a bit late in sharing my desires for the season but I have come to a stage in my life ….it is the better late than never stage.  Too many times I have not done what I shoulda, coulda, or woulda simply because I missed an actual or “virtual” deadline.  You know the kind–a friend is in the hospital & you mean to stop by but time gets away & she gets released, goes home & you think–I missed that opportunity…but no, you can still go see her just at home instead.

Advent the season for beginning the new church year, for preparing & celebrating the coming of Christ.  It is never to late to join in the celebration of Christ Jesus.

How will you prepare for the celebration of our precious baby Jesus? I wish to share with you the Novena to Our Lady of Undoer of Knots. In a small way it is my “gift” to you. The novena is amazing and powerful. I have come to find out, through Dr. Taylor  Marshall ( that our dear Pope Francis has a special place in his heart for this novena as well.

My desire for you and me this advent season is to undo all those knots in our lives. How beautiful if we spend this advent season praying to undo our knots and by next Christmas (I know this is a powerful novena but even miracles can take some time) we have in our midst the return of a prodigal son or daughter, an illness taken off our shoulders, marriages strengthened, bonds rebuilt, peace in our home, or simply the burdens from our lives are lifted even a little bit.

I encourage all of you to join me in the novena starting tomorrow.   I have found that for me, thinking about &  preparing myself for a novena brings me, more spiritual fruit.  My intentions for the novena is to pray it through the whole advent season (starting tomorrow lol).  I am sure my life has many knots in it, and many knots need to be undone in our world. I hope you join me in a continuous novena throughout the advent season.

Sweet Baby Jesus  as you ran to your mother, the Virgin Mary, to assist you in your needs as an infant and child, let us run to Our Blessed Mother with all our pains, concerns, and fears. We trust in You.
