Praying for Success of Catholic businesses.

Today, December 8th, the feast day of the Immaculate Conception, I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to begin a monthly prayer for the success of all Catholic (Christian) businesses.  Looking around during this Christmas season, it is saddening ho strw many small business that were struggling last year are now gone.

What a perfect day, to pray for the success of ventures taken, especially those taken after feeling called to do so.  Business owners take on a hard life in beginning a new venture. They take a risk that they will fail and maybe even succeed.  Success can be just as brutal, or even more so, than failure.  People can relate to failure and many expect you to fail, but success is harder to deal with, success brings its on kind of heartache and it is harder to expect people to understand.

Today, we honor St. Anne, the mother of Our Blessed mother, by honoring the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady.  St. Anne began a venture, succeeded and is not very well known for it.  Doing the honor or raising the Magnificant Mary, not even she could have predicted how amazing her motherly success would be.  An endeavor that raised her to Sainthood.

Let us pray for the success of the many ventures undertaken each day, especially those in business.

Heavenly father we raise up to you all the business owners who are struggling to stay afloat, the new business which are just being planted–may their roots be allowed to take hold, the business in which moral values are constantly threatened–and many having to make allowances on their moral values to just maintain their doors open–help them to know, to be strong in their faith and YOU will bless them, let them not fear.   May those whom you have gifted with certain talents, let their gifts be seen as You see them and may they be appreciated and strengthened.  You always provide for those who follow You. Let us not forget to begin each work day with prayer, and may we give each day to You with trust and love.
