Tomorrow starts our new Drive by Prayers novena, I have selected St. Gerard’s novena since:
St. Gerard Majella is the patron saint of expectant mothers, mothers with difficult pregnancies, and those women who hope to conceive and give birth to healthy children.
October is National Infant Loss Awareness Month, coincidentally the novena ends on October 15 which is National Infant Loss Day. A day of remembrance celebrated throughout the globe with “wave of light” candle lighting ceremonies, for a celebration in your town go to http://www.october15th.com/activities-walks/. You can show your support by taking part in the ‘Wave of Light’ on 15 October, which is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. The idea is to light a candle at 7.00pm and let it burn for at least an hour in remembrance of all babies that have died during pregnancy, at, during or after birth. People will be taking part across the globe to create a ‘Wave of Light’ to recognise the memory of the babies who lit up our lives.
I pray for you, you who have lost, who will forever have a piece of your heart missing. I pray for the light of your love to continue to shine. God knows your ache and He will hold you in His arms as you live on honor of your loved one.
